Kayaking in combination with hiking in the sources of the river Acheron

The Springs of the river Acheron are located in a narrow point of rocks with rapid waters – frozen even in summer – in the village of Gliki, 20 km from the coastal Ammoudia between Preveza and Parga. Hiking and cycling routes in the habitat of the river Acheron

In the Springs of Acheron the gorge narrows. An interesting walking route is the path above the Springs of Acheron, which leads to the Mountains of Souli and Skala Tzavelainas.

The valley of Acheron is also ideal for exploring by bike since it is completely flat with rural asphalt roads that cross fertile corn fields and connect the villages. Starting from the bridge in Gliki we cycle on the asphalt road parallel to the river. We move west to the villages of Potamia and Kypseli. Visit to the necromancer of Efyra

Visit the first known oracle of antiquity, dedicated to the god of the underworld named Hades Hades. The cultural site is located on a hill in the village of Mesopotamos. It was built in built near the confluence of the rivers Pyriflegethon, Acheron and Kokytos, which represent the Grief, the sighs and the sorrows of death symbolize. Visit the capital city of Preveza

Discover the historical centre with their architectural diversity. The cobbled alley of Seitan Bazaar with its traditional “ouzeri” (ouzo serving places) is a famous area in the town.
